Under the hood—figuratively speaking—the E-208 GTI borrows its electric drivetrain from the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce, a sibling on the same EV platform. This setup produces a spirited 276 horsepower and 255 pound-feet of torque, rocketing the car from 0 to 62 mph in a brisk 5.7 seconds. For context, that's a leap of 142 horsepower over the standard E-208 model.
To ensure the car handles as well as it accelerates, Peugeot equips it with a limited-slip differential to maintain control in sharp turns. The chassis has been refined: front and rear tracks are extended—2.2 inches at the front and 1.0 inch at the rear—while the suspension system gains hydraulic bump stops and sits 1.1 inches lower.
